Research Programs
The Division serves as the vehicle for implementing the interagency collaboration on atmospheric research. The Division's research includes efforts in air pollution meteorology, atmospheric modeling, air quality moel development and evaluation, and air pollution abatement and compliance programs aimed at improving the Nation's air quality. ASMD conducts research activities in-house and through contract and cooperative agreements, reflecting the Division strategic plan and supporting NOAA's mission.
