The APTA Information Center maintains a collection of reports and studies published by organizations such as the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP), Transportation Research Board (TRB), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and individual transit agencies.  Materials are available on two-week loan to APTA members.  Search the Information Center's catalog of holdings by clicking on the link above.

The Information Center subscribes to the TRANSPORT database and other online resources.  Center staff can prepare bibliographies with abstracts on request.  Articles on specific topics from APTA's Passenger Transport can also be provided to researchers.  Indexing of selected Passenger Transport articles is included in the Information Center Catalog.

Proceedings of APTA's Bus and Rapid Transit Conferences are published annually and are a major technical resource for transit professionals.  Individual papers from conferences dating back to 1988 are available.  Or the entire proceedings for recent years can be purchased on  CD-ROM format.

The APTA Information Center also maintains a Catalog of Member Products and Services (COMPS). The catalog is a comprehensive, computerized listing containing corporate information including names, addresses, contact persons, and phone numbers of those firms providing transit products or services in 151 categories.

The Information Center houses bound copies of Passenger Transport, APTA's weekly publication, from Volume 1 number 1 April 1943 to the present. The earlier monthly publication, AERA, published by the American Electric Railway Association is also available in bound form from 1912 to 1932. In addition, conference proceedings of the American Street Railway Association (1882-1914) and of other early transit organizations are available for serious research purposes.
