The requirements do not apply to this acquisition because:

__________ (a) the acquisition is a micropurchase. However, for micro-purchases, contracting officers and other individuals designated in accordance with 1.603-3 are strongly encouraged to comply with the applicable accessibility standards to the maximum extent practicable;

___________(b) the EIT to be acquired is to be used for a national security system;

___________(c) the EIT to be acquired is to be acquired by a contractor incidental to a contract;

___________(d) the EIT to be acquired is to be located in spaces frequented only by service personnel for maintenance, repair or occasional monitoring of equipment

DESCRIPTION OF CIRCUMSTANCES

I have determined and hereby certify the need for an exception to application of accessibility standards, in accordance with “FAR 39.204 Exceptions”, due to the circumstances outlined above.
