An Interagency Agreement (IA) is an agreement between the client and the General Services Administration. The following documents serve as examples and templates of Interagency Agreements that can be used by DoD and the civilian agencies.

Interagency Agreement for Civilian Agencies
This document is the agreement between civilian agencies and GSA, and must contain signatures from both. The Civilian Interagency Agreement lists the responsibilities of GSA and the civilian client agency.

Standard Interagency Agreement for DoD Part A
This is a two part agreement between GSA and DoD. Part A must be signed by a high level official in each agency (for DoD this would be at the command level), and shall be reviewed annually. Part A contains a comprehensive discussion of general terms and conditions that are standard for GSA/FAS/AAS.

Standard Interagency Agreement for DoD Part B
Part B must be used with Part A and is task order specific (there could be one Part A with multiple Part Bs). Part B initiates the transfer of funds, will be signed by both GSA and the client agency for each individual task order, and will reside in the task file. Part B contains specific task order information, as well as the description of goods or services/bona fide need. Part B is not an obligating document.

Standard Interagency Agreement Financial Addendum for Civilian or DoD
This is an obligating document to be used with both civilian and DoD interagency agreements. The financial addendum contains the names, addresses, DUNS, MIPR or funding document information for the GSA and client agency financial managers.
