To Whom It May Concern:
I support the recommendations set forth in the PROWAC report, concerning
Accessible Pedestrian Signals and Detectable Warning Devices. I urge you to
implement these recommendations into your rules.
I believe that this will assist blind/visually impaired pedestrian's in their
pursuit of self reliance and independence: as a result, they will become more
productive citizen's. This barrier has confronted the blind/visually impaired
for too long. However more importantly, it will save many unnecessary injuries
or even unfortunate deaths.
Thank you for your time and consideration concerning this extremely urgent
issue.
