Dear Access Board,
I am a blind person living in the Capital District area of New York. I think
that the audible pedestrian signals, for the most part, are a waste of taxpayer
dollars. In order to pay for universal installation of these signals and
detectable warnings will probably result in tax increases or cuts in other
federal programs.
I think the tax dollars would be better spent on education and mobility lessons
for those who are in need of those services.
The benefit of installing APS and detectable warnings is far too expensive.
