Fort Circle Parks

A circle of Civil War forts erected to defend the nation’s capital has been named a top regional conservation priority by the Washington Smart Growth Alliance. The Fort Circle Parks are part of NCPC’s joint CapitalSpace initiative that aims to link the parks to surrounding neighborhoods and local, regional, and national trail systems.

Autumn 2008 Quarterly

NCPC’s Autumn 2008 Quarterly newsletter is now available online. Capitals Alliance Delegates Sign Green Declaration

Delegates from 15 national capitals around the world closed out the week-long conference Capitals Alliance 2008: Greening the World’s Capital Cities with a pledge to help create a more sustainable planet.
