Request For Small Business
Participation Estimates
The draft for Objective 1, MAF/TIGER Modernization, Statement of Objectives (SOO)
states that one of the requirements of the contractors is to ensure that small
business capabilities are incorporated into all offers presented to the Census
Bureau. The Census Bureau wants to ensure that a realistic percentage of dollars spent under this contract go to
small business entities. At this point, respective bidders are beginning to form
teams that are best suited to support the Objective 1 and may have some idea of
the ratio of small business support available for this type of contract
work. Contractors are requested to
respond to the Census Bureau with what industry believes is a realistic small
business goal, considering the type of data and support it plans to provide in
achieving the goals of the project. If possible, base the anticipated percentage assignment to small
businesses on the percentage allocated to subcontracting work and the percentage
of the entire project. All comments
will be kept confidential. Responses should be provided by October 12, 2001 to the following email
address - tigermodernization@geo.census.gov.
