AISC Safety Awards The American Institute of Steel Construction encourages safety and safe operating practices in structural steel shops and on structural steel construction sites. One method of encouraging safety is to recognize good records of safe performance. Periodic recognition of safety in the workplace has been demonstrated to provide an incentive and a reminder of the importance of safe practices. The AISC Safety Award program is intended to provide that recognition.
The Safety Committee The Safety Programs at AISC are guided by the Safety Committee. The committee is a group of people who are responsible for safety in their active member shop and field operations.
