CouncilsThe Coordinating Council is the primary governance body for technical and programmatic elements of ITS America’s strategic plan. It also focuses on the management and coordination of projects and activities in each of the eight Forums. The Policy and Business Council is the principal source of public policy development within the Society in support of ITS America’s strategic role as a thought leader in the transportation field. The Council is also the forum for business interests in ITS America. The Council accomplishes its mission in conjunction with the ITS America Coordinating and State Chapters Councils, working closely with Society leadership in the areas of transportation policy, business leadership, and government and international affairs.
The State Chapters Council is a volunteer body that serves as a communication channel between ITS America’s state chapters and ITS America’s Board of Directors. Each chapter designates an individual to serve on the State Chapters Council to provide a voice for each chapter at the national level. |
