U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR OFFICE OF THE SOLICITOR WASHINGTON 20210 June 27, 1966 MEMORANDUM #67 TO: AGENCIES ADMINISTERING STATUTES REFERRED TO IN 29 CFR, SUBTITLE A, PART 5 FROM: E. Irving Manger Associate Administrator RE: Compilation of Regulations, Parts 1, 3, 5, and (29 CFR, Subtitle A) The attached booklet contains a compilation of our Regulations, Parts 1, 3, 5, and 7 (29 CFR, Subtitle A). These have been assembled as a ready reference because the numerous amendments make the use of the various issues of the Federal Register difficult. As these revisions have not been officially codified and republished iv the Federal Regis- ter as a unit, the various Federal Registers remain the official source in case of need to refer to the basic material. The Department of Labor does not stock these regulations for general distribution. However, we have agreed to loan our reproducibles to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and they in turn have agreed to let any agencies desiring to do so ride their requisition subject to the following conditions: 1. The request shall be made under HUD Requisition No. 270-66. 2. Only the entire booklet attached hereto, containing all four parts of the regulations, may be ordered, 3. Only the requests received by the Government Printing Office on or before July 11, 1966, will be honored. Although requests to ride HUD's requisition are limited to requests for the entire booklet, this Department has printed each of these regulations under a separate requisition number. After the HUD requisition is filled, the reproducibles will be made available (when not already in use) to individual agencies on request. Agencies may requisition from the Government Printing office one or more parts of the regulations, in the desired number of copies, by making arrangements with Mr. Holmes or Mrs. Pryor (Telephone Code 110, Extension 3155) for the loan of the plates. The make-up cost will be borne by the agency. Although the cost under -2- this arrangement would exceed the cost of riding HUD's requisition, there would still be a substantial savings to the agency through the use of the Department's plates. The opportunity to ride HUD' s requisition. offers an unusual opportunity to acquire any desired quantity of the booklet at a minimum cost. Attachment
