2001 Green Book Presentation. The 2001 edition of A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets (2001 Green Book) was published in June, 2001. This presentation was prepared by FHWA to highlight the changes and additions made to the Green Book since the previous edition. FHWA has adopted the 2001 Green Book as the minimum design standard to be used for projects on the National Highway System. The final rule adopting the 2001 Green Book was published in the Federal Register on Feb. 12, 2002 (PDF Version, 42 kb ). (Slides 26 and 86 updated on May 1, 2002)
