Mississippi River/Gulf of Mexico Watershed Nutrient (Hypoxia) Task Force

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has participated in the Mississippi River/Gulf of Mexico Watershed Nutrients (Hypoxia) Task Force since its inception in 1997. The USGS provides information on nutrients in the Mississippi River Basin and expertise to support management decisions and actions intended to reduce excess nutrients in the Mississippi River Basin and hypoxia in the northern Gulf of Mexico.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency chairs the Task Force and maintains the official Task Force web page.
