| This supplement provides alternate specifications for various building elements designed specifically for use by children, including toilets and toilet stalls, lavatories and sinks, drinking fountains, and fixed or built-in seating and tables. Advisory information on reach ranges and handrails is also included. Published in 1998, this document supplements the ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) which, as originally published, only provided specifications based on adult dimensions. It provides the specifications for childrens dimensions as exceptions and must be used in conjunction with a complete copy of ADAAG. The updated reprint of ADAAG incorporates these provisions.
