Recommendations for Accessibility Guidelines for Outdoor Developed Areas

This report addresses access to outdoor developed areas including trails, beach access routes, and picnic and camping areas. Issued in 1999 by the Outdoor Developed Areas Regulatory Negotiation Committee, an advisory body the Access Board had chartered, this report will serve as the basis for new guidelines to be developed under the Architectural Barriers Act, which covers access to Federally funded facilities, such as national parks.
