Detailed 2001 American Housing Survey Data Using Census 1990-based Weighting

Beginning in 2003, the independent estimates (control totals) used to produce the weights for the American Housing Survey (AHS) are based on the Census 2000 with an estimate of change since then (2000-based weighting).

The following provides detailed tables published in the report American Housing Survey for the United States: 2001, Series H150/01 should be used when comparing the results of the 2001 AHS survey with survey results prior to the year 2001. 2001 AHS data using 2000-based weighting which should be used when comparing the results of the 2001 survey with 2003 AHS data.

A detailed description of this weighting change will appear in the publication American Housing Survey for the United States: 2003, Series H150/03.
