Location: Livestock Behavior Research
2006 Annual Report
4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a grant between ARS and Purdue University. Additional details of research can be found in the report for parent project 3602-32000-006-00D, Ethology of Food Producing Animals and 3602-32000-005-00D, Handling and Transport Stress Interactions with Pathogen Biology in Livestock. The research birds have been received and housed based on proposed experimental designs. In addition, a pilot study to examine the alternative methods for induced molting and the efficiency of the current research facility have been finished, and data is currently being collecting.
