Officials Break Ground on New Air Traffic Control System Command Center
December 4 – The nation's air traffic control system will be managed at a new state-of-the-art facility near Warrenton, Virginia, in 2011. The new facility replaces the existing command center near Washington Dulles International Airport, which closes when its lease expires in 2011.
