I. File Organization: The files in the estmod89 FTP directory contain estimates of poverty and income for income year 1989. There is one FTP file for each state (or US) with data for ALL the 1989 statistics. Additionally, there is also one file that includes the data for the US and each state and county. On the "Tables for States and Counties by Income Year and Statistic" page, for the 1989 income year, there is one table for each statistic for each state (with its counties) and for the US (with all the states). II. File Names est89ALL.dat (for US and all states and counties) est89US.dat (for US with state data [but no county data]) est89_[STATE].dat (for state with county data) where [STATE] = standard two-letter postal abbreviations.
