Research Project: DETERMINING EVAPOTRANSPIRATION OF CROPS ON SALINE SOIL IN THE PRESENCE OF SHALLOW SALINE GROUNDWATER

Location: Water Management Research

2004 Annual Report

4.What were the most significant accomplishments this past year?
D. This report serves to document research conducted under a reimbursable agreement between ARS and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. Additional details of this research can be found in the report for the parent project 5302-13000-009-00D Water and Nutrient Management of Nutrient Crops.

This project was developed to support the modeling efforts of the USBR in shallow ground water areas located on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley. The evapotranspiration of crops being grown on the west side will be determined using the bowen ratio method. The necessary equipment has been ordered.
