Seeking Peer Reviewers
The Department of Education is holding a second-round competition for new Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) grants. We are casting a wide net seeking the best possible peer reviewers to evaluate applications for program grants.
If you would like to be considered as a peer reviewer and are available in March 2007 to spend 3-4 days working in Washington, DC, please send your resume (no more than 3 pages please). Include in your resume clear contact information, and a brief description of each job listed.
Each reviewer must have expertise in at least one of the following:
- Teacher Quality
- Data Management and Analysis
- Evaluation
- Differentiated Pay
- Educational Policy
Please remember that if your organization intends to apply for a grant, you may not be eligible to serve as a reviewer. As a reviewer you will have a conflict of interest if:
- You helped prepare an application, regardless of financial interest in the success or failure of that application;
- You have agreed to serve, or if you have been offered a position, as an employee or consultant on the project; or
- Your personal financial interests will be affected by the outcome of the competition.
Please send all resumes and questions to program staff at tif@ed.gov, or call (202) 205-5224.
