I would like to express my support for the recommendations the Hearing Loss Association has made for revising the guidelines for passenger vessels. Until recently I was unaware I would not have access to the same captioned or enhanced equipment that I have available to me here at home and some entertainment venues. For two years I have depended upon a hearing aid and a cochlear implant to communicate and that is very restricted to quiet one on one situations. Anything else is impossible. I’m afraid future travel upon cruise ships will be impossible for me without the implementation of these changes.
