Washington, DC – GSA Acting Associate Administrator Kevin Messner today announced Stan Kaczmarczyk will serve as the Acting Deputy Associate Administrator for OGP’s Office of Technology Strategy due to the retirement of Mary Mitchell. Ms. Mitchell is retiring in South Carolina. Mr. Kaczmarczyk will continue to be the Principal Deputy Associate Administrator for OGP while expanding his responsibilities, temporarily, to include the direct management of the Office of Technology Strategy until this position is filled permanently.
"Mary Mitchell has been committed to her programs and making sure the government works better and more efficiently. We will miss her and wish her the best in her retirement,” Acting Associate Administrator Messner said. “Stan Kaczmarczyk currently overseas all of OGP’s offices and will provide steady leadership during this transition.”
The Office of Technology Strategy provides central and critical governmentwide leadership for the use of electronic government and technology. This office plays a central coordination role in implementing policies in many areas from the Financial Management Line of Business, including the Financial Systems Integration Office, to Identity Management, including HSPD-12 standards.
Ms. Mitchell has 32 years of government service. She joined GSA in 1999 and has served since 2002 as the Deputy Associate Administrator of the Office of Technology Strategy. Prior to joining GSA, Ms. Mitchell worked at NIST.
