  • Implement CAHPS survey again and examine changes in scores for areas chosen
  • Assess what worked and what didn't work
  • Modify strategy, if needed
  • Introduce improvements into the organization on a broader scale, as appropriate
  • Start the cycle again

Notes:

Example: One center focused on connecting patients to the machine within 15 minutes. The second CAHPS survey showed an improvement, although not statistically significant. This center added to the timely dialysis start, the concept that the entire center had to run in a timely manner.
