To whom it may concern:
Hello! Greetings from Idaho. I am writing in regards to the hearing by the
Access Board on October 8-9, 2002 in Portland, Oregon. I support the position of
the National Federation of the Blind as against the audible traffic signals.
I am vice president of the Idaho Association of Blind Students, a National
Federation of the Blind scholarship winer, and a blind person since birth. I
find the signals annoying, degrading, and putely unnecessary. I know many other
successful blind travelers, as well as travel instuctures. Some of them even get
around better than people with 20/20 vision.
Thank you for your time and I hope you will take all my comments into
consideration. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Andrea Travis
