Dear Access Board,
I am writing to voice my opposition to the proposed guidelines for the
installation of audible traffic signals and detectable warnings. I believe that
these requirements are far to costly and are unnecessary.
I find the audible traffic signals to loud and distracting when I am crossing
the street. My cane gives me the information I need to keep me away from the
street or other dangerous places. The money spent on the warnings and signals
should and could be used to provide better training to blind people.
Sincerely,
Phillip Eric Duffy
