With no new dollars to pay for these expensive changes other much needed projects will be delayed or not done. A one size fits all solution cannot work effectively with the many different designs of intersections in this country.
Blind and visually impaired persons need better and more training which will in the long run be more effective than these regulations. Better mass transit and other alternative transportation initiatives will do more for this problem as well.
