My name is Caleb McKinsey, and I am 12 years old. I am in the seventh grade at
Harding Middle School in Lakewood, Ohio. Since I am visually impaired, I think
that underfoot detectible warnings and accessible pedestrian signals will be
very useful for me. In Lakewood, some of the streets have blended curbs and I
have sometimes gone into the street without meaning to. If truncated domes are
put on the curbs, I would be able to know where the street is. Accessible
Pedestrian Signals might be able to help me because they would tell me the exact
time to walk across the street.
