I am extremely concerned about your proposal to put audible traffic signals at
every street corner, along with large truncated domes. I am a person who is
totally blind who has traveled safely all of my life without either of these. I
hope I can continue to do so. I rely on hearing the traffic flow to know when it
is safe for me to cross the street. Audible signals, telling me when to walk,
plus locator signals would hinder my ability to listen for traffic. Such a
hindrance would be dangerous and unneccessary. In most cases, I know where the
sidewalk ends and the street begins. The domes are not needed. For visually
impaired persons with support canes or walkers, these domes could be dangerous
as well. Thank you for reading my comments. Ms. Denise Bravell
