Research Project: FATE OF AGROCHEMICALS IN POT-IN-POT NURSERY CULTURE

4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a Specific Cooperative Agreement between ARS and the Ohio State University. Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent CRIS 3607-21620-006-00D Biological, MicroClimate, and Transport Processes Affecting Pest Control Application Technology.

Studies were conducted that provided growth and leachate analyses for the pot-in-pot study at Willoway Nursery. Data analysis from four experimental plots, 3 pot-in-pot plots and 1 in hoop houses yielded water management information useful to the grower who has realized a 40% saving of water use Cooperative publications with an entomologist, an engineer and a plant pathologist. As a result, the grower expanded the above project to a separate 1 acre experiment.
