4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a Specific Cooperative Agreement between ARS and Tennessee State University, McMinnville, Tennessee. Additional details of research can be found in the report for the inhouse research project 6404-21220-003-00D, Vegetable and Ornamental Research in the Gulf South. A gas chromatograph has been installed and is now used in several research projects. Fire Ant Laboratory modification continues with the installation of a fume hood, and installation of humidification chambers. A Research Associate for the Fire Ant program has been hired. The newly hired Chemical Ecologist has started research on fire ants.
