Research Project: FOREIGN EXPLORATION FOR POTENTIAL BIOCONTROL AGENTS FOR RUSH SKELETONWEED Project Number: 0212-22000-023-09

Start Date: May 06, 2005
End Date: Jul 31, 2008

Objective:
To organize and conduct survey to identify the natural enemies attacking the plant, Rush Skeleton Weed.

Approach:
Exploration for new natural enemies will be conducted in Russia, Greece, Bulgaria, and other East European and Central Asian countries. Key biolgoical control agents will be identified, colonized and evaluated, and the most promising will be shipped to the U.S. for further evaluation in quarantine.
