Research Project: ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF IMPACT OF BT REFUGIA IN COTTON

2007 Annual Report


1a.Objectives (from AD-416)
To conduct a multi-state study to determine the production costs and returns associated with Bt cotton and Bt cotton refuges.


1b.Approach (from AD-416)
Data will be collected from multiple farm locations identified in Arkansas, Louisiana,and Mississippi. All production costs and oeprations will be recorded one each site. Cotton lint yields will be collected on both the Bt cotton and the refuge cotton.


3.Progress Report
This report serves to document research conducted under a Specific Cooperative Agreement between Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station and ARS. Progress concluded with the 2005 Annual Report but was not terminated because of financial management reasons. See 2005 Annual Report for last reported progress.
