HERBICIDES FOR MINOR USE FOOD CROPS
Location: Invasive Weed Management Research
2004 Annual Report
4.What were the most significant accomplishments this past year?
D. Progress Report
This report serves to document research conducted under a specific cooperative agreement between ARS and Michigan State University. Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent project 0500-00007-061-00D Minor Use Weed Management. Research was conducted to assess the value of selected herbicides for weed management in minor use crops. Thirteen field projects were supported, in part, in 2003, and 10 field projects are underway in 2004. Data on crop injury, weed control, and crop yields were collected, and residue samples were sent to residue testing labs. Data collected was assembled into a data package that was compiled by IR-4 headquarters at Rutgers and sent to EPA to support label registration for the herbicides on minor use crops.
