Research Project: PESTICIDE MAGNITUDE OF RESIDUE ON FOUR VEGETABLE CROPS

2007 Annual Report


1a.Objectives (from AD-416)
The objective of this cooperative research project is to obtain data and specific vegetable samples with residue of insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides applied to the vegetable crops in support of the National IR-4 program.


1b.Approach (from AD-416)
Field trials of insecticides, fungicides, and herbicide applications will be conducted on selected vegetable crops. Research will be conducted according to good laboratory practices, using protocols prescribed by the National IR-4 Program. Vegetable samples will be assayed for residues by appropriate federal, state, or private laboratories.


3.Progress Report
This report serves to document research activities conducted under a specific cooperative agreement between ARS and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. This project is subordinate to the parent CRIS 0500-00007-084-00D. No new residue trial was conducted during the year. The method of monitoring has been by teleconference.
