4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a specific cooperative agreement between ARS and Washington State University - Prosser. Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent CRIS 5352-22000-017-00D Management of Insect Pests of Temperate Tree Fruit Crops.

The coat protein region of both little cherry viruses 1 and 2 have been sequenced, cloned into expression bacteria, expressed and mice immunized. Polyclonal antibodies are available and monoclonals are being developed. A one tube rt-PCR multiplex method to detect both viruses with high sensitivity has been perfected.
