Metadata

Metadata or "data about data" describes the content, quality, condition, and other characteristics of data. Geospatial metadata are critical to data discovery and serves as the fuel for the Geospatial One-Stop (geodata.gov) data portal.

For up-to-date environmental data, please visit EPA's Envirofacts Data Warehouse. For further information about BASINS data or metadata, please email: basins@epa.gov.
