U.S. Congressman Mike Doyle Honors Pennsylvania Regional Export Network and Duncansville Company For Exporting Efforts

Monroeville, PA-Congressman Mike Doyle (PA-14) will present Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission’s Export Development Program (SPC) with the U.S. Commercial Service’s Certificate of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade. The event will take place at the Congressman’s Manufacturing Summit held at the Monroeville campus of the Community College of Allegheny College.

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Certificate of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade recognizes export assistance and promotion organizations that the U.S. Commercial Service partners with to assist U.S. companies in exporting. SPC is one of 10 regional offices in Pennsylvania’s Local Development District (LDD) network and provides customized solutions to create both domestic and international opportunities for companies to increase their export sales through export readiness assessments, information research analysis, market identification analysis, market access strategies, and business plan development. SPC also sponsors or co-sponsors various international trade events and educational seminars in the region

In the year 2005, SPC and the U.S. Commercial Service Pittsburgh office jointly assisted companies via various programs including counseling, trade missions, educational seminars, and business matchmaking to increase their sales. Combined 2005 sale increases amounted to more than $10 million dollars.
