Research Project: AIR QUALITY ASSOCIATED WITH AGRICULTURAL OPERATIONS (SDL) Project Number: 0500-00080-001-00
Project Type: Appropriated

Start Date: Mar 01, 2004
End Date: Feb 28, 2009

Objective:
Measurement, prediction and control of particulate matter and gaeous emissions from agricultural operations.

Approach:
(1) Develop new methods and improve existing methods to measure emissions of particulate matter and gases from crop production and processing operations, and animal feeding operations. (2) Develop and determine the effectiveness of management practices and control technologies to reduce emissions. (3) Develop tools to predict emissions and their dispersion across a range of agricultural production systems, management practices, and environmental conditions.
