Gutierrez Kicks off “Cuba at a Crossroads” Series by Discussing Bush Administration Policies toward Cuba

Washington (Sept. 17)—Secretary of Commerce Carlos M. Gutierrez, who serves as the co-chair of the Commission for Assistance to a Free Cuba, gave a keynote address at the Heritage Foundation series, “Cuba at a Crossroads” highlighting the Administration’s policies toward Cuba. Gutierrez contrasted the hope, growth and opportunity he saw in his recent trip to Peru, Colombia and Panama with the economic and political repression inflicted on the Cuban people. (Remarks)
