Charlotte One of Most Educated and Wealthiest Cities in Nation

U.S. Census Bureau and Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Officials Highlight American
Community Survey Results on Education, Income, Housing and Migration

   
What:

The U.S. Census Bureau will hold a news conference to highlight new American Community Survey data showing that Charlotte, with nearly 130 people moving there each day, boasts one of the highest median incomes in the nation. Charlotte also is among cities with the highest rates of high school and college graduation. Other data will show homeownership rates and housing values in North Carolina and areas of 250,000 population or more within the state, including:

      Charlotte and Raleigh cities; and Mecklenburg and Wake counties
