Objective:
To facilitate the collection and exchange of crop genetic resources important to U.S. and world agriculture, this program is designed to provide mutually agreed upon benefits to collaborating countries which will support the capacity of the national genetic resources programs to collect, document, maintain, evaluate, distribute, and preserve their crop genetic resources.

Approach:
USDA/ARS/NGRL staff will work with collaborating National Genetic Resources programs to identify needs that can be supported which will enhance their capacity to collect, document, maintain, distribute and preserve their crop genetic resources. NGRL staff will work with CIP to support those needs that for program, homeland security, or funding reasons are best conducted by CIP.
