Objective:
Support of the International Strategic Planning workshop for Peanut Genomics 2008-2012. The objectives of the proposed workshop are: 1. Provide a global forum for communication between stakeholders and the peanut research communities in the United States, China, South America, India, Australia, and Africa. 2. Draft a strategic plan to define and guide implementation of an integrated multi-disciplinary international peanut research program. 3. Initiate the development of credible processes for ensuring program relevance, quality, and productivity. 4. Establish processes that help bridge the gap between R&D and commercial utilization of the fruits of genomics and biotechnology on an international scale.

Approach:
Provide funds to be used to offset registration fees for speakers and international delegates.
