I- OUR IDENTITY

The law firm of Bennani & Associés LLP has been established to provide a wide range of legal services to public and private companies, governmental agencies and individuals in the field of corporate and commercial law. The firm was founded in 2004 by Mehdi M. Bennani and Abdellah Moustaid.
Bennani & Associés LLP is organized into two departments. The activities of the firm are equally balanced between the Business and Transactional Department and the Litigation Department. Each attorney at the firm is committed to continually developing a solid legal expertise and, together, they constitute a law firm that has the ability to provide the highest quality representation in all legal areas.

Bennani & Associés LLP can, therefore, address the legal and juridical needs of Moroccan and foreign companies that require their attorneys to act as business partners, providing legal advice adapted to the local environment.

II- OUR CULTURE

Bennani & Associés LLP was founded by prominent lawyers committed to excellence in the practice of law while maintaining the highest standard of ethical and professional conduct.

We will admit to the partnership only those attorneys who have demonstrated, in their careers, a strong sense of leadership and a recognized level of legal knowledge and ability.

Our constant aim is to ensure that our clients feel confident in their legal representation and the services provided by their legal advisors.

III- OUR OBJECTIVES

The Moroccan legal market is today predominantly comprised of solo, general practitioners. Bennani & Associés LLP aims to change the market, by offering more specialized legal services without undermining the traditional close client/attorney relationship, which remains of the utmost importance.

Whether it be in the Business and Transactional Department or the Litigation Department, our institutional values favor legal solutions that are easy to implement and practical rather than theoretical.

When entrusted with a project, our attorneys collaborate with their clients to develop creative strategies and solutions tailored to achieving the clients’ objectives. In litigation matters, we work hand-in-hand with our clients to determine whether a case requires proactive action, and we advise our clients on the risks involved and, to the extent determinable, the chances of success.

IV- OUR QUALIFICATIONS

At the inception of the firm, each of the founders was already acknowledged as a leading attorney in his field, but each with a different background and different qualities and interests. The founders share two main qualities: an uncommon spirit and a strong desire to achieve the highest professional standards. Their success is based on their academic and professional achievements and also their diversity.

Mehdi M. Bennani received his LL.M. Degree (Master of Laws) from Harvard Law School and is a graduate of “Université Hassan II des sciences juridiques, economiques et sociales,” from which he graduated first in his class. He is an attorney admitted to the New York bar and has spent the largest part of his career as a corporate finance lawyer in New York with the firms of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP and Bryan Cave LLP, respectively.

Abdellah Moustaid is a graduate of “Université Hassan II des sciences juridiques, economiques et sociales”. He is admitted to the Moroccan bar and was trained as a litigator at the law offices of Mohamed Jankel and Hamid Andaloussi, respectively. Abdellah Moustaid is particularly knowledgeable in judicial procedures in the Moroccan courts and has developed an expertise in litigation related to banking, intellectual property disputes and labor disputes.

Our partners, together with their associates, constitute responsive teams of fully available attorneys. Collectively, they have the legal and linguistic (English, French and Arabic) abilities to provide the highly productive and personalized service that companies require to operate in today’s business environment.
