Better Teachers for Urban Schools. As part of an initiative on Rethinking Human Capital in Public Education, the Aspen Education and Society Program gathered 80 education leaders to consider urban teacher residencies, a new approach to preparing and retaining teachers. Read the report. Listen to the event (.mp3).

U.S.-Palestinian Partnership: Promoting Economic and Educational Opportunities for the Palestinian People. This innovative partnership was launched December 3, 2007 and its major activities include the May 2008 Palestinian Investment Conference in Bethlehem, which focused on attracting private sector investment in the Palestinian economy.
