Dr. Uthus, a Minot, ND native, received a Bachelor's degree in mathematics and natural science from the University of North Dakota in 1974. In 1976 he received a Master's degree in biochemistry. After working for several years at the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center he returned to school and received his Doctoral degree in biochemistry from the University of North Dakota in 1982. Dr. Uthus has held the position of research chemist at the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center since 1988.
