Importation of Fruits and Vegetables
AGENCY: Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, USDA.
ACTION: Proposed rule; reopening of comment period.

SUMMARY: We are reopening the comment period for our proposed rule that
would amend the fruits and vegetables regulations to list a number of
fruits and vegetables from certain parts of the world as eligible,
under specified conditions, for importation into the United States.
This action will allow interested persons additional time to prepare
and submit comments.
DATES: We will consider all comments that we receive on or before March
10, 2006.

and, in the ``Search for Open Regulations'' box,

close of the comment period, the docket can be viewed using the

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On December 22, 2005, we published in the
Federal Register (70 FR 75967-75981, Docket No. 03-086-1) a proposal to
amend the fruits and vegetables regulations to list a number of fruits
and vegetables from certain parts of the world as eligible, under
specified conditions, for importation into the United States.
Comments on the proposed rule were required to be received on or
before February 21, 2006. We are reopening the comment period on Docket
No. 03-086-1 until March 10, 2006. This action will allow interested
persons additional time to prepare and submit comments. We will also
consider all comments received between February 22, 2006, and the date
of this notice.
