Alternative Work Practice To Detect Leaks From Equipment
AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
ACTION: Proposed rule; reopening of public comment period.

SUMMARY: EPA is announcing that the comment period on the proposed rule
amendment for numerous EPA air pollution standards which require

specific work practices for equipment leak detection and repair (LDAR),
published on April 6, 2006 (70 FR 17401) is being extended until July
5, 2006.
DATES: The comment period has been extended from June 5, 2006 to on or
before July 5, 2006.

be affected by the national emission standards, you should examine the
applicability criteria in 40 CFR parts 60, 61, 63, and 65, including,

Submitting CBI: Do not submit information which you claim to be CBI

part or all of the information that you claim to be CBI. For CBI
information submitted on a disk or CD ROM that you mail to EPA, mark
the outside of the disk or CD ROM as CBI and then identify
electronically within the disk or CD ROM the specific information that
is claimed as CBI. In addition to one complete version of the comment
that includes information claimed as CBI, a copy of the comment that
does not contain the information claimed as CBI must be submitted for
inclusion in the public docket. Information marked as CBI will not be

Comment Period
We received a request to extend the public comment period to July
5, 2006. We agreed to this request, therefore the public comment period
will now end on July 5, 2006, rather than June 5, 2006.
