The Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs (OCIA) provides
direction and coordination for congressional and intergovernmental liaison
and outreach activities for the Department of Labor. OCIA assists the
Secretary, Deputy Secretary, agency heads, and departmental staff to develop
effective programs and strategies to promote the Department's goals and
objectives on Capitol Hill as well as among state and local officials. In
addition to congressional and intergovernmental affairs units, OCIA also
includes the Department of Labor’s Regional Representatives.
