New OMB Requirement: DUNS Number
Effective October 1, 2003, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requires grant applicants to provide a Dun and Bradstreet (D&B) Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number when applying for Federal Grants or cooperative agreements on or after October 1, 2003.
There are two ways for organizations to receive a DUNS number at no cost:
- Call the toll-free DUNS number request line at 1-866-705-5711 to receive a DUNS number in one day.
- Visit www.dnb.com to receive a DUNS number in 30 business days. To expedite the receipt of a number through the Web site (1-day processing) there is a $40 fee.

DUNS number. Those applicants whose Full Proposal Applications are
selected
for award will be required to obtain a DUNS number prior to
award.
